The Celebrity Surf Invitational returns to the Super Girl Surf Pro event on September 19, 2021 to raise money for several charitable organizations. It will take place between the Semi-finals and Finals of the main surf competition at approximately 2:00pm.
Each celebrity is paired with a top pro surfer as “teammates.” There will be two 20 minute heats with four teams in the water during each heat. The two top teams will have money donated to charity on their behalf.

James Maslow
James Maslow is an American singer, actor, and songwriter best known as the star of both the top-rated Nickelodeon program Big Time Rush and best-selling music group of the same name. However, these days, Maslow makes headlines around the world for his solo music with recent infectious pop singles like “Love U Sober” and “Delirious” that have received glowing praise from critics and fans alike. Never ceasing to captivate an audience, Maslow is a proud recipient of the prestigious Macy’s iHeartRadio Rising Star Award. A star in every aspect of the word, he continues to capture the attention of the American public and is the current host of the CW’s global talent show The Big Stage with Elizabeth Stanton airing Friday nights at 9pm ET. Maslow was also the last man standing on Season 18 of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars and appeared on the first season of CBS’ Celebrity Big Brother. His versatility has earned him starring roles in the comedy My Boyfriend’s Meds alongside Jason Alexander, and Brooke Shields as well as indie comedy/drama We Need To Talk and the upcoming World War II action film, Wolf Hound. Other recent acting credits include the feature films 48 Hours To Live, Bachelor Lions, and It Happened One Valentine’s and a headlining role as Dr. John Watson opposite David Arquette in the international tour of the stage adaptation of Sherlock Holmes.
Meg Donnelly
At only 18 years old Meg Donnelly born in New York City and raised in Peapack, New Jersey is positioned to be a breakout star in the entertainment industry today, quickly becoming known for her impeccable comedic timing on camera, innate abilities as a singer / songwriter and the refreshing, free spirit she brings to every project she is involved with. Donnelly can currently be seen starring on ABC’s hit comedy series “American Housewife.” Where she shines as ‘Taylor’, who was an awkward, homely student and suddenly grew out of her ugly-duckling phase. Meg released her debut single “SMILE” in June of 2018 which quickly hit #1 on Radio Disney’s TOP 10 Airplay Chart. The music video for the single has almost 2 million views on her YouTube Channel. She followed up her debut single with “Digital Love” which accompanied Radio Disney’s announcement of her being named the newest NBT (Next Big Thing). Past NBT Alums include the likes of Shawn Mendez and Camila Cabello. Meg’s current single, “With U” features the Multi-Platinum / Award Winning Artist Fetty Wap and is due out May 17th across all download & streaming platforms. Fetty Wap also makes an appearance in the Music Video for “With U”. Meg is set to perform “With U” live on ABC’s The ARDY’s (Radio Disney Music Awards) with Fetty Wap on June 16th.

Lindsey Jacobellis is a ten-time snowboardcross X Games Gold medalist, who holds the record for the most X Games Gold medals of any female snowboarder in history. She is also a 4-time member of the US Olympic team and an Olympic Silver medalist.
Selema "Sal" Masekela
Selema “Sal” Masekela is a beloved host, commentator, journalist, musician, and producer best known for his work presenting ESPN’s Summer and Winter X Games, which he hosted for 13 years; NBC’s Red Bull Signature Series; hosting E!’s Daily 10; and hosting and executive producing the award-winning TV show VICE World of Sports. Sal’s creativity and mastery of storytelling extends behind the camera to his production company, UX Entertainment. In 2015, Sal joined the Emmy-award winning investigative series VICE on HBO as a correspondent and executive producer. That year, he also appeared in the remake of the cult classic Point Break. In February 2014, he made his Olympic broadcasting debut from the Winter Olympics in Sochi, reporting features for NBC’s nationally syndicated Olympic Zone. A New York native, Sal’s flair for entertainment emerged at an early age as he toured the world with his father, South African jazz icon Hugh Masekela. Sal’s creative aesthetics also extend into fashion through his clothing company, Art of Craft, which donates a percentage of every sale to charity. In addition, Sal offers his name and time to the charity he co-founded, Stoked Mentoring, a nonprofit action sports organization for at-risk youth whose mission is “developing successful teens with opportunity, knowledge, experience, and determination through the use of action sports, mentoring, and coaching.
